What to do about Dry Winter Skin that is cracking you up?
A lot of us get quite dry in winter. Because the air around us is low in moisture it pulls the moisture out of our skin, much the same way as a fridge dries out an uncovered lettuce leaf. So in winter dry skin gets drier and normal skin can become dry.
How do we know if our skin is dry? Hands can look wrinkly and dull. The skin of our face can feel tight and uncomfortable, dry to the touch and dull or it can become itchy and red.
Changing our products to something more moisturising in winter can help with all of these problems. It is best to do this in consultation with your therapist so that you choose the best products for your skin.
And remember you can always book in for one of our 15 minute complimentary skin diagnosis consultations.
Winter is an excellent time of year for a warm, relaxing facial.

I was lucky enough to be the training model for one of these facials the other week and my skin has not been so soft and smooth in years. It is funny because I have been using good quality skin care for years, literally about 21 years, but I had been largely self diagnosing, buying products online and buying the latest and greatest skin care cream without regard for whether it was what my skin needed. After being treated by an experienced therapist in a facial setting I have changed my skin care routine completely and my skin which was looking a bit thin dry and red has become thick and creamy looking. And not at all dry. I can’t describe it any other way, but I am totally converted to my Ella Bache skin care regime.
